Glenn
D. Hockley, Partner
Glenn Hockley was born in Manitoba and was
raised at the farm of Donovan Holsteins, Brandon, Manitoba. Glenn belonged
to the Brandon 4-H Dairy Club and represented Manitoba at the National
4-H Conference. The Hockleys bred the family of the famous Donovan Sheik
Gloriette for seven generations. Gloriette became the “National Champion”
in the U.K. and is the maternal third dam of “Bonatus” the highly rated
German proven bull.
In 1972 Glenn gained his Master of Science degree from the University
of Calgary with a major in Geology.
In 1993 Glenn was founder and Chief Executive Officer of Torrington
Resources Ltd., a public oil and gas exploration company listed on the
Toronto Stock Exchange. Glenn is currently Chairman of the Board of
Aquest Energy Ltd., Director of Berens Energy Ltd., both TSE listed
energy companies. Recently Glenn became founder and Chairman of Stallion
Energy Ltd., a private oil and gas exploration company.
Glenn commenced Hawkridge Holsteins in the 1980’s to participate in
the breeding and ownership of high quality purebred Holsteins. Hawkridge
has bred three excellent cows, Hawkridge Elegant Rozina-3E, Hawkridge
Wade Mystery Ex 93 (U.K.) and Hawkridge Metro Ivory Ex 92 (UK). Glenn
co-bred with David Chalack the bull Edgemont Wade Six, the top type
sire in Spain.
