Dr.
David A. Chalack, Partner Dr. David Chalack, DVM, is a well-respected breeder and cattle judge who has been active in the Holstein industry for the past 30 years. David was raised on a Holstein dairy farm and received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1975. He was a partner with six other veterinarians in a large-animal practice specializing in reproduction and herd health objectives. In 1989 David joined Alta Genetics in the live cattle and embryo division. He was responsible for the Embryo division for a number of years until promoted to be International Sales Manager for Western and Central Europe. In his current capacity as Alta’s Canadian Sales and Marketing Director, he is responsible for developing the Canadian market for this global livestock genetic organization. David Chalack is also a director of the Canadian Livestock Genetic Exporters Association, a chair of the Strategic Agriculture board committee and a member of the Executive committee of the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede. He is an official judge with Holstein Canada and has judged in over 14 countries. He has shown the Grand Champion cow at World Dairy Expo, The Royal and European Confrontation Show in Brussels. David has had the pleasure to have developed and owned many All-Canadian and All-American Holsteins throughout his career. To email David - (Click here)
